Location

The Snug is only an hour from Glasgow, yet feels like a world away. Located in a quiet lane, in the small village of Innellan, just 4 miles south of the popular tourist town of Dunoon, The Snug is easily reached from Glasgow by driving or taking the train to Gourock, followed by a short ferry ride to Dunoon. Both Calmac and Western Ferries operate a regular service throughout the year.

A longer, but stunning, alternative route is to take the A82 north of Glasgow as far as Tarbet, followed by the A83 over the ‘Rest and be Thankful’ pass, and then south on the A815 along the shores of Loch Fyne and Loch Eck to Dunoon.

Once in Dunoon, the A815 is followed for 4 miles to Innellan. 1 mile after the post office, turn right up Trinity Lane and The Snug is on the right after 50 yards. Please note that parking is only available on the main road, where there is a large lay-by at the beach (approx. 50 yards from The Snug). Cars must not be parked in the lane itself.
